Build a Basic Budget

A free financial literacy workshop is provided by First Financial Credit Union at the Main Library Branch on Monday,  February 11th at 5:30 p.m.  This workshop guides you to understand the five step spending plan and will increase members' level of financial literacy while providing the necessary tools to become more financially savvy and self-empowered.  Learn how to establish a spending plan, identify spending leaks, how to track expenses and find ways to save! Upon conclusion, members will be able to make informed and strategic decisions regarding their finances.

ESL Planning Meeting

The Library is planning to offer ESL classes to help English Language Learners increase their reading and writing skills. Anyone interested in taking an ESL class should attend a short meeting at the Main Library on Friday,  February 15th at 5:00 p.m.  This meeting will help us determine how many are interested in this opportunity and which skills will be the focus for the beginning of the class. For more information please contact Markos at 505-863-1291 or email libtrain@gallupnm.gov.

Scholarship Club

Join us at the Main Library on Thursday,  February 21st at 6:00 p.m. to form a scholarship club. The purpose of a Scholarship Club is to work together to find potential scholarships to apply for that are not in the mainstream. This will increase a student’s chances for getting money for college. Any questions, please email libtrain@gallupnm.gov.
